Eleanor Rogers, Greenville Foodie
I have spent a great deal of time eating, cooking, reading and talking about food–making me an undeniable foodie. I grew up in Greenville, SC and moved to Columbia to attend USC where I began my journey teaching Montessori. While teaching will always be close to my heart, food has consistently been a passion of mine.
When I moved back to Greenville, I was blown away at the variety of foods offered and was frankly overwhelmed by all the new and trendy restaurants, food trucks, coffee shops, etc. that were opening up! My hope is to share with you some of the best dishes around Greenville, as well as offer some of my insight to eating and cooking.
Amanda Arscott, The Scout Guide Greenville Editor
A native of Ontario, Canada, Amanda has always been a connector. With a broad background ranging from logistics and political campaigns to broadcasting and marketing, the common thread among her professional endeavors has always been the opportunity to connect people. As Editor of The Scout Guide Greenville, she loves that she now has the opportunity to connect people with the many amazing locally owned businesses in Greenville, South Carolina.
Amanda moved to Greenville with her husband, Greg, in 2008—a move that was only supposed to last a few months, but 11 years later, her roots have grown deep in her adopted southern hometown and they have no plans on ever leaving. Since leaving the corporate world to start her family, Amanda has served her community in many non-profit positions. She proudly serves on the Board of Directors for the Cancer Society of Greenville County and is an immediate past chairwoman of the Hope Ball. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Artisphere, the premier art festival of the South.
Carrie Weimer, Fox Carolina
Carrie Weimer is a reporter for Fox Carolina News by day, and by night ...well ... she's exhausted.
Born in Florida but being raised in South Carolina gives her the ability to know good orange juice and even better sweet tea.
After being in logistics and marketing for over a deccade, she decided to take a crazy chance on becoming a media photographer where she discovered she loved being in front of the camera more than behind it. Storytelling is her jam and she truly believes everyone has a story to tell.
Fueled by humor and the appropriate amount of sarcasm, her life goals are to learn the entire Thriller dance and bring about world peace...but not necessarily in that order.
