The Westin Poinsett is one of the most iconic buildings in Downtown Greenville and we are so happy that they are a member of My Wedding Group and they are this weeks Friday Feature!

We got to talk with Sarah Kate, the Wedding Sales Manager of The Westin Poinsett, about  how special of a venue The Westin Poinsett is for weddings.

About The Westin Poinsett

The Westin Poinsett was built in 1924 and after being closed for a little while, it was purchased in 1997 and reopened in 2000. "We are in the heart of Downtown Greenville and are one of the few all-inclusive venues that have rooms where guests can stay the night!" said Sarah Kate.

We are one of a kind! If you are looking at a location in Downtown Greenville to get married, most venues start around $3,200 for a Saturday and that is just the space and then the bride and groom are on their own with everything else! We take care of the majority of the wedding (Venue, Hotel, Parking, Food, Rental Items, Staff, Bar, Cocktail Hour Music, and Up-Lighting).

The Westin Poinsett has been here a while, since 1924! We know what to do to make a wedding fantastic and unforgettable! Planning a wedding at The Westin Poinsett is a breeze and it helps that we really do have more than half of the wedding responsibilities in one place!

When asked what her favorite part of weddings at The Westin Poinsett, Sarah Kate responded "I love the exits! As a vendor, it is a real treat to watch a couple at the end of their wedding reception just being happy! We get to watch so many ups and downs of planning a wedding with each couple, but it is all about what comes after the wedding. So that happiness right before they leave is always worth the ups and down of planning."
